Look at me go.

Look at me go.

downtown philly.

We went into the city today! We went to:

  • The Rocky Steps
  • The Love statue
  • The Liberty Bell and Independence Hall
  • Jim’s on South Street for Cheesesteak

I love the city, but i’m not sure if I could live in one. At least not one this big. And Kylie and I were on the lookout for Flyers players but we didn’t find any…

more observations/facts

About Haverford…

  1. After one day i’m pretty sure I could get myself around campus.
  2. So many people are athletes.
  3. You can leave your stuff in the library and no one will take it.
  4. People are amazed when you tell them how big your school is.
  5. Co-ed bathrooms will always be weird.
  6. Most of the faculty and staff live on campus.
  7. Delivery people have a hard time figuring out where to deliver food on campus.
  8. Most of these kids are biology or chemistry majors, aka Pre-Med.
  9. Everyone knows everyone.
  10. The women’s soccer team is very nice and I like all the girls a lot.

YAY!

Oh and I was in this building today…

Pretty right?

from nova to haverford.

Yesterday morning Chelsea and I got up and showered while Lizzy was in class. Then when she got back we went and got lunch on campus. We surveyed all the options and I ended up eating a chicken tender hoagie. It was pretty good. It was fun to watch all the students and compare them to kids from App. One major thing we noticed, most people at Nova look nice for class. That is not the case at App. Then we spent some time in the library filling out our brackets and reading articles online. Natalie stopped by while we were there so that was fun. Afterwards we went and got some ice cream from the dining hall on main campus. Lizzy was invited to be in a music video for a group on campus, so we watched them film it then Lizzy drove me to Haverford.

Not soon after I got to Haverford Kylie’s dad took her and I out to dinner. How funny that Mr. Reeves and I are in town at the same time! Dinner was great and after Kylie needed some groceries, because she hates the food from the dining hall. I haven’t tried it yet, but from what i’ve heard they have very few options to choose from. We are going to eat in the dining hall tomorrow morning for breakfast though because Kylie says that’s the best meals they have.

We are going into the city tomorrow so I’m really excited about that! I’ve never been to Philly before!

Oh and ps, this school in TINY.

spring break!

Right now I am sitting in the Villanova library next to Chelsea at a computer. Two quick things:

  1. This campus is gorgeous.
  2. We’ve only met one person who has heard of Appalachian State University.

GET INVOLVED. STOP AT NOTHING. THE WORLD MUST KNOW.

I dare you to stop scrolling through your dashboard. Stop checking your Facebook newsfeed that you’ve already checked two seconds ago. Stop updating your Twitter and seeing what your favorite celebrities are saying. Stop watching funny and nonsense videos on Youtube. Take time to educate yourself to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in this world. This is your chance! WATCH THIS VIDEO.

Let’s make JOSEPH KONY Famous!!

Who is JOSEPH KONY?

He is THE WORST LIVING CRIMINAL. He abducts children and makes them use guns to kill their own parents. He takes girls and forces them to be sex slaves. He calls his abducted children the Lord’s Resistance Army, AKA the LRA. He has abducted over 30,000 children and forced them to be child soldiers in Central Africa. He remains at large because he is INVISIBLE to the world. FEW know his name, even FEWER know his crimes. WE ARE MAKING HIM FAMOUS! Because when he is, the world will unite against him and demand his arrest.

We can help make a change. We can make a difference.

I feel so inspired. I feel the need to help and make a difference. This has to happen in 2012. We can’t let him go around and keep doing this to children in Central Africa. Let’s make his name known so he can be stopped. HE CAN NO LONGER BE INVISIBLE!

Please take a moment to reblog and get the word out. SHARE THIS TO EVERYONE! Be a part of something BIG and when they catch this man, you would be able to say.. “I HELPED.”

LET’S START HERE ON TUMBLR.
